The two residences that make up the housing complex of “La Fornace “ have been completely restored combining the timeless charm of classic tuscan architecture with functionality and modern design. Both residences have independent heating system, word-burning fireplace, air-conditioning and Wi-Fi. “La Fornace” has full energy self-sufficiency thanks to solar panels installed on the roof of the covered car parking. The two residences are built in compliance with the requirements to obtain maximum energy efficiency being thermally insulated and ventilated roofs. Biological materiale are recovered with a special composting system.

They are a handmade pasta similar to long, irregular spaghetti. Once a humble pasta made only with flour and water, they differed from egg pasta (like pappardelle) which were prepared on festive days. Today, pici from Celle sul Rigo are a registered collective trademark, part of our country’s history and culture. Don’t miss the famous Recovered Sanctuary of San Casciano dei Bagni, just a few kilometers from us, a sensational and recent discovery. Excavations started in 2019 have revealed a large Roman-era sanctuary complex. The excavations are still ongoing, and the quantity and quality of the materials found so far make the discovery of the Recovered Sanctuary one of the most important in the last fifty years. Finally, how can we not mention the fabulous thermal waters of San Casciano dei Bagni? Very close to our agriturismo, you can enjoy both the “vasconi,” free thermal baths located right next to the Recovered Sanctuary, and the Fonteverde thermal complex.
